September 8, 2018: It was time to leave Pisa by train, so we quickly stopped into the nearest cafe to grab breakfast. We went to Cofer Bar, which was literally at the corner and in sight of the Pisa Centrale train station.
There were a lot of sandwiches and paninis pre-made in the display box at the cafe. I chose one for us. Ken ordered an espresso and an orange juice for me.
It was a simple mozzarella and tomato panini, but it was not so simple because it was delicious too. The staff heated it up for us so that the panini bread was crispy and crunchy. The surface of the bread was slightly salty too. The mozzarella cheese was melted and so soft yet tender. How come Italian cheese is so good?! There was a bit of arugula too.
Then we headed off to take the train. 😀
