NoodleFest at Mandarin Restaurants

Our family loves buffets and all-you-can-eat restaurants so when it was time this weekend to select a restaurant for dinner, we couldn’t help but pick Mandarin since it offers something for everyone (and the kids being under 5 year olds are free).

We went to the Copper Creek/Box Grove Centre plaza location of Mandarin (88 Copper Creek Dr, Markham, ON) and it just so happened that their NoodleFest promotion was happening.  They had four noodle dishes on the menu:  Korean Japchae, Pad Thai, Soba Noodle Salad and Sweet Chili Udon that they don’t usually offer.  Just like it was fun that time to coincidentally visit during Moon Festival last year, it was a fun opportunity to visit during NoodleFest to see what they were offering too.

I tried all four noodles and the limited edition Assorted Macarons too.  The Soba Noodle Salad was very tasty with saucy soba noodles and edamame, carrots, and other assorted vegetables.  I highly recommend this dish.

The Korean Japchae had really bouncy noodles but we thought the sauce was a bit on the sweet side.  The Sweet Chili Udon was a touch spicy for me.  The Pad Thai was not bad, but when I happened to get it from the hot table, it was more on the leftovers side and contained a lot of bean sprouts (being the stuff that’s left behind).

At the time we visited in 2025, the Noodle Fest special was happening from April 1 to May 4.

There were four flavours of the macaron.  I quite liked the light crispy shell and the dense sweetness of it overall.

We always have a good time at Mandarin as the service is consistent and professional and there is something for everyone.  The kids like it a lot too.  They get to pick out what they want to eat and take their time assembling/deconstructing it at the table.

Other stuff I got like the prime rib and cheese pizza
