Even though Trapped is located so close to me, this was my first time going there to play an escape game. We were looking for an escape game that we hadn’t been to yet and this one was on my radar since I had heard about it through social media. I looked up the escape room themes that they had on their website and it appeared that the Death Note room and another one seemed the most fitting for us since we had four people (Death Note was for 2 to 6 people). Their website said that if you booked online ahead time, we would save on the cost (its regular price was $28 and after booking it online, it was just Continue reading
It’s been a while since I wrote up a review for an escape game and that’s because it HAS been a while since I stepped into one to play! 😛 I love escape games but it’s not always easy to gather a bunch of friends together to try out a new escape room that no one has played yet.
Ever since Casa Loma came out with their own escape games inside their castle walls, I had been so eager to come and play! However, when it first came out, there was a month-long waiting list or something and I didn’t get a chance to round up friends Continue reading
As part of Tam’s birthday festivities this year, she celebrated with an escape game at De Code Adventures in Mississauga. De Code Adventures has opened for more than two years already but it was my first time hearing about them and thus my first time playing one of their games.
I love playing escape games and I was very looking forward to seeing what this one would be like. Continue reading
Escape games are so addicting and fun! After Rosa and Anna told us about this new escape place that was opening up in Markham and also hearing Mel talk about Omescape (located in Markham at Woodbine and Esna Park), I knew I wanted to try it out for sure. Mel is an expert at escape games, playing one almost every weekend with her boyfriend, and highly recommended this one after hearing that I loved the high tech elements from Xscaper Arts. By now, if you’ve been following my blog, you know that not only am I a food enthusiast and love trying new restaurants, but over the past year, I’ve also been delving into escape room games. It all started last year in February 2014 when I played my first escape game. Ever since then, I’ve kept my eyes peeled for more thrilling escape games that I could try out with friends and non-friends.
So, you can imagine my surprise and sheer pleasure when I received this e-mail from Crystal, the Marketing Executive, at BreakOut Team Adventures, one of the newer escape game places in Toronto, about an invite for me to try out their escape game for free so that I could review it. Continue reading
Another day, another escape game. ^_^ Yesterday, on a sunny but cold winter weekend day (we’re talking -19 C), seven of us braved the cold and hit up EscapeZone, which is located in the heart of downtown near Kensington Market on Spadina near College Street. EscapeZone is like all the other escape games that have exploded in all of GTA since it offers team players challenging puzzles and clues in a locked themed room to escape out of in a set period of time.
Carol helped us book the highest difficulty level room which was called “Da Vinci Code” and was art-themed in a parallel universe. Continue reading
Earlier this week, nine of us played another escape room called LockQuest. By now, most people know about room escape games and how they’re currently a top pasttime since they’re fun, challenging, and involve lots of teamwork. LockQuest is located directly across from the Summerhill subway station on Yonge Street in Toronto which makes it very convenient to get to by public transit. Continue reading
A week ago, eleven friends and I went to play this newer room escape adventure called “Trapped in a Room with a Zombie” courtesy of Room Escape Adventures. I first heard about this from my friend after we played the “Inception” room at Xscaper Arts about how there was an escape room that had a real live person dressed up as a zombie that was chained up while you tried to solve the clues in order to get out of the room. Continue reading
Room escape games! ❤ Yesterday, I had the privilege of playing at Xscaper Arts yesterday with some friends. Xscaper Arts opened up in June of this year and is a live escape room game. These have been super popular ever since ESC-IT first launched in Toronto earlier this year and since then, multitudes of copycat and related escape room games have been born. Continue reading
