The 23 surprise bags I got in September 2025

A fun food-saving app to try new restaurants and stores outside of your everyday routine is called Too Good To Go.  I use this app on the regular to buy ready-to-eat food items, groceries, desserts, and even floral bouquets (now that more florists are joining TGTG).  It’s satisfying to help the planet reduce food and floral waste too. 😊 

Here is my monthly roundup of the surprise bags I bought in September 2025.  I bought 23 this month!

September 2, 2025:

I set an alarm to get this surprise bag to see what the hoopla was all about for this perfect score surprise bag.  It was surely delicious to try a combination of meat, macaroni salad, corn, and rice altogether with sauce.  A good comfort Korean meal.

We’re not sure what to do with the chives?  Lol.  A moderate amount bag but good quality.  The prunes were so good.  My kids ate many of them.

Yay!!!  A new store on the app and this one is near me too.  So fantastic to get breakfast food on the app.  Tasty. 😋

New florist and I was one of the first to try it out!  I was very disappointed with this bouquet for a supposed retail value of $60.  I watched as the florist took a dry bunch of carnations and reworked it into the bouquet that I received.  (I had to wait 5 minutes as they weren’t ready yet and the gentleman at the front wasn’t pleasant either.)  The flowers in this bouquet were commonplace and low quality.  They wilted so quickly after 2 days.  I got my money refunded.

A much better bag than the recent one I got! Gotta love the surprise bags from Healthy Planet. 😄👍

This looks to me like a new cafe in Cathedraltown that serves drinks and desserts.  Very strong mocha flavour in the Swiss roll.

Very yummy and wholesome comfort food.  The chicken was so tender!

What a lovely surprise!!!  I didn’t expect to get three drinks and a hot freshly made bubble waffle at all.  I loved this!  Bubble waffle tasted good and the HK milk tea was so strong of flavour.

September 11, 2025:

I love being able to discover new bakeries via this app!  I was given a choice between plain or Cinnamon Walnut bread and I chose the latter because it was something new to me.  Tasty pastries.  The apricot tasted so fresh (albeit very sweet).  The Napoleon pastry was so good and I’ve never had something this flakey or soft before.

Really sweet pastries so if you are watching your sugar intake, I’d say skip this surprise bag.  As a store that sells flowers too, it would be nice if they started offering floral surprise bags as well!
