Screenshot of the game — so satisfying when I was able to fufill the orders and especially when it was a difficult item (like that groom item which was the max level)
Glow Tales is a merge game on the Play Store on Android that I made $109.64 from playing (thanks to AttaPoll)! It was super fun and these were my thoughts about it as I was playing it:
- This game is sooo fun I never actually want it to end.
- I’m currently at level 94, about to enter 95, and I don’t even notice or count when I approach each new payout tier or level anymore (when an old spawner gets retired and a new one gets brought in). (The last level I’ll be playing is 100 because then I’ll get paid on AttaPoll and then uninstalling it so I can pay other games haha).
- What I love about this merge game specifically compared to two other ones I’ve played for fun (and for cash):
- Almost endless power — the game somehow keeps the power coming so you don’t have to wait long to get those “thunder” symbols to keep playing the game. I literally can sit there and keep playing for hours because it moves fast and you are motivated to keep completing the next task.
- It keeps spawners and items refreshing by constantly changing them out every 5 to 10 levels. This is a game-changing when it comes to merge games because you get to play new items and see new ideas come onto the board. It’s sooo creative and well-thought out. Super refreshing for the user.

They have really fun mini games!! Some mini games earn you extra power and freebies (treasure chests, extra items, mystery boxes) sooo easily. While playing the bird and (“game night”) mini games, I earned so much power that I had over 500 power on the board (!!). I was able to keep playing endlessly and easily. Also, the photo album game was so fun too — collecting the photos and the grand prize earned me over 2,400 power too!! It unlocked the 4x power and the levels went by super quickly because of this. So smart of the designer to know that this could be a possibility and sped up the game.
- Efficient use of the board (more so than other games) that I barely had to use the inventory. In other games, I always had to use rubies towards extra room in the inventory.
- Creative spawners like the tattoo parlour where you have to mix the ink set before dragging it to the spawner to produce tattoos or earrings. So creative. (Same goes for the plants [seeds], food [cloche], university set [laptop].)
- Fast loading.
- Lots of short ads (5 to 10 seconds). This is a merge game after all (and one where I earned cash) so of course there are ads. The best part I would say is that 80 to 90% of the ads were all short ones! So it was easy to sit through those in order to obtain the items in bubbles or earn extra power.
- The “glow tales” themselves were pretty interesting too. You could choose the colour for each style of clothing or makeup, hair, etc. for the person.
- For each new item that is discovered and unlocked, you get a ruby from it! Other merge games don’t do this.
The game is not perfect though and there are the following downsides:
- Very limited rubies compared to other games. Instead of saving them on the board to max them out before collecting, I sometimes used them as one, two, or three rubies to make extra room on the board.
- Because of the spawners that you have to make items first before dragging it to make the spawner, it became difficult to always get the correct combination. The “pre-ingredients” were randomly spawned and sometimes it took so many tries before getting the correct items. This is a challenge of the game though and not an actual issue.

screenshots of the energy boosts x1, x2, x4, varieties of flowers, and how you can get rubies for each new item discovered

Every night around 8 p.m., there was a lady with some extra difficult tasks to complete. It was not always worth my time to do though
