Want to save money on buying groceries? Try the Flashfood app. Flashfood is an app which helps divert food waste by selling items that are nearing their “best before” date or which stores have a surplus of for one half of the price or more. Each month, my family and I spend about $300 to $500 on groceries thanks to Flashfood. In this economy, that’s a steal!
This month in March, Flashfood encountered a system issue where they temporarily weren’t able to process pickups and asked users not to purchase items from the app until it was fixed. This caused many stores to temporarily stop uploading items too. It was inconvenient just when stores seemed to be getting the hang of uploading items from various departments. Hopefully stores will resume uploading lots of products again regularly now that the issue seems to have been fixed.
