Flashfood is a great way of getting discounted food in a flash! You download the app to check your local participating grocery stores. Every day, they will upload actual or stock photos of items that are nearing their “best before” dates and you can buy them at 50% off their original price. This means that the consumer gets to save money on food that is still perfectly edible and everyone as a whole gets to divert food from going to waste. It’s a win-win for everybody! ^_^
This was my second month of using Flashfood. You can use my referral code “KARE4PEFC”. If your first purchase is over $10, then we’ll both get $5 in rewards!
I don’t know, do people like looking at these? Lol. In any case, here’s what I bought from Flashfood in July 2023:
July 1:
Loblaws (High Tech, Richmond Hill):
- 2L of skim milk $0.94 x2 (original price: $4.49).
July 3:
Loblaws (High Tech, Richmond Hill):
- Fruit Box (10 apples, 11 granny smith apples) $3.
So many different types of apples!

Wow, a whole chicken for less than $10! What a steal! Also a great opportunity to satisfy my breakfast pork sausage cravings. 😋

My mom loved these mangoes. They were great.

The cucumbers were not good. They were moldy. The other items were fine after a bit of sorting. Amazing deal nevertheless.

Oops, drank all of this before I took the photo of the milk in the bag. Thus, just the empty exterior bag for the photo.

An amazing month of using Flashfood to supplement our grocery trips. Look at all the milk we got for our family especially! Such a great price and all the milks tasted fine.
