So Good Chinese Restaurant located at 10610 Bayview Ave Unit 2 and 3 in Richmond Hill

I’ve visited So Good Chinese Restaurant in Richmond Hill numerous times now.  We first dined here for lunch (after we visited the next-door EarlyON Child and Family Centre) for the first time last year and recently came here for lunch yet again.  We’ve also dined here for family dinners more than three times and really enjoyed the food.  Their name in Chinese is 蘇Good 餐廳.

So Good Restaurant is a Hong Kong style cafe that serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea menus as well as typical Chinese dishes with dinner sets (including soup of the day and desserts).  They have plenty of parking at the plaza.  Their service is efficient and no-fuss and the food is tasty with great portions and reasonable prices.

My favourite comfort dish:  Portuguese chicken rice on rice!  The fried rice was good here though the Portuguese sauce wasn’t very memorable and I didn’t like that the chicken bites were very crunchy and deeply fried; I wasn’t expected this.  Still a hearty comfort dish when you’re hungry.  It was $12.99 which included a hot drink of your choice.

My mom ordered the set special with choice of noodles, chicken wings, pan-fried eggs, and toast for $12.99, also a hot drink included.

I like how they gave the child some plastic utensils.  They have high chairs available as well.

So Good Chinese Restaurant is such a solid restaurant serving tasty and reliable Chinese food.  There’s not too many Chinese restaurants of this type in this area in Major Mac and Bayview.  They have a lot of seating as well.  However, if you plan on hosting a table of 12 or more, you’ll definitely need to reserve a table as they don’t have a lot of large tables.  They have plenty of seating for 2 to 6 people tables.
