Here are the grocery items we picked up from Flashfood in August 2023:
August 4:
Loblaws (High Tech, Richmond Hill):
- Minigo yogurt $0.94 (original price: $4.29).
I saw this on the app and bought it on an impulsive whim because of how cheap it was lol. We normally wouldn’t buy this brand of yogurt.
- Fruit box (2 apples, 18 bananas) $4.
August 7:
Real Canadian Superstore (Dufferin/Steeles):
- Crumbled cauliflower $2.49 (original price: $4.99),
- 100% Fruit Bar Pack $5.49 (original price: $10.99),
- Kosher Chicken Drumstick $3.10 (original price: $6.20).
The pack of fruit bars was so great for our toddler to enjoy as snacks at home and on the go! Great find. ^_^
- Mixed Produce Box (2 corn, 1 English cucumber, 8 cucumbers, 2 potatoes, 2 red peppers, 3 apples, 3 oranges, 1 yellow cucumber, 10 bananas) $5.
August 8:
No Frills (Markham Road/16th):
- Whole Wheat Pita $0.25 (original price: $1.79),
- Tourtiere $1 (original price: $3.79).
Loved these prices!
Loblaws (McCowan):
- Chilled Split Chicken Breast $4.59 (original price: $9.19).
- Fruit Box (6 pears, 2 apples, 3 large oranges, 5 small oranges, 12 limes, 1 lemon, 9 tangerines) $5.
August 11:
Loblaws (High Tech):
- Mixed Produce Box (3 bags of grapes) $5.
These grapes were just okay in terms of freshness. We had so much of it that we ended up not finishing it all and it had to go into the compost.
August 18:
No Frills (Yonge/16th):
- 2L of skim milk $2.59 (original price: $5.19),
- 1 L of 2% milk $1.74 (original price: $3.49).
August 21:
Loblaws (High Tech):
- Mixed Produce Box (14 red apples, 4 granny smith apples) $5.
August 24:

- 2L of 1% partly milk $2.59 (original price: $5.19),

August 26:
Real Canadian Superstore (Dufferin/Steeles):
- Macaroni salad $2.49 (original price: $4.99),
- OKA original cheese $4.49 (original price: $8.99),
- Green Beans $2.99 (original price: $5.99),
- Pork Frankfurters $3.24 (original price: $6.49),

Loved, loved, loved this haul and assortment of goods! This location of Real Canadian Superstore is the best with how much variety they stock in their Flashfood zone!
August 28:
Loblaws (High Tech):
- Fruit Box (20 bananas) $3.
- Fruit Box (15 lemons, 14 limes, 4 peaches, 4 oranges, 3 plums) $5.
August 29:
No Frills (Stouffville):
- Fruit Box (13 mangoes) $3.
During the pickup when I told the No Frills employee I was there to pick up a Flashfood order, they pointed me to the fridge and basically suggested to get the item myself. I gestured that they should get it for me and they did. However, that isn’t the proper procedure. They didn’t even check off my item from the app. It showed as a missing item after the fact because they didn’t log it on the app… I could have opened the fridge and taken others’ purchases. I hope they become aware of this and properly log pickups in the future… I think the employee wasn’t trained properly on the pickup procedure.
