April 1, 2025:
Michael’s No Frills (5887 Main St, Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON):
- Buffalo chicken wrap $2.50 (original price: $5) x2. Paid $5.28 after 5% service fee and tax.
Yummy chicken wrap which was smaller than I expected but a nice yummy item to try.
VanSpall’s No Frills (9305 ON-48 RR 1, Markham, ON):
- English muffins, cinnamon $0.25 (original price: $2) x2,
- Bavarian poppy seed $1 (original price: $3.99),
- Mini cupcakes, lemon $0.50 (original price: $5),
- Light rye bread $1 (original price: $4.29).
- Paid $3.17 for five items after 5% service fee and tax.
Best deal of life!!! All of these breads and baked goods and only $3 before the service fee and tax. First time trying the light rye sourdough bread (no added sugar either) which was fresh, dense, and tasty.
The mini lemon cupcakes were a steal at 50 cents; sweet and dense cake. Before the kids ate it, we removed the frosting (seemed artificial and overly sweet).

I noticed this was originally posted for $1.50. They weren’t selling, so the store reduced the price to 99 cents. 🙌🏼 I love the stores that do price lowering.
- Mixed Produce Box (2 bunches of broccoli, 1 bottle melon, 1 stalk of celery, 1 pack of white mushrooms, 1 3-lb bag of lemons, 3 packs of strawberries) $5. Paid $5.28.
Two of the lemons and a few of the strawberries in two boxes were moldy. Everything else looked fine.
Nick’s No Frills (3850 Sheppard Ave E, Scarborough, ON):
- Smoked turkey breast $1 (original price: $6) x2. Paid $2.12.
“Funny” story for this purchase.. I bought it since my mom was in this area. When she picked it up, the employee must have misheard or accidentally took someone’s order and gave it to her. My mom was in a hurry and the employee also left immediately so she couldn’t even talk to her. Thus, I was able to get three bonus items for what I paid for. I’m glad these are items we would eat anyway, but I feel really bad for the person whose order we accidentally took. Hopefully they are able to provide them with the same replacements.

- Chicken drumsticks $3.13 (original price: $6.27),

Very big meaty drumsticks! I prefer the smaller drumsticks as they are easier to cook and eat.
April 17, 2025:
Loblaws Richmond Hill:

- Steelhead trout fillet $7.11 (original price: $14.23).
- Paid $15.20 for two items.

Funny story. I was nearby this No Frills and a little disappointed that I didn’t have anything to pick up from them as they are notorious for selling cheap bread on FF. Lo and behold as we were in the parking lot about to get in to check for discounted yogurt, I saw that they had posted packs of chicken drumsticks for $2 each! I quickly tried to buy it but someone else was faster than me. I then saw $2 salmon being posted so I bought it immediately. Same thing for the rest of the other meat items. We couldn’t resist buying the $1 bread too then. What a great deal for all of these items!

We were passing through this area and I couldn’t help but buy the chicken so we didn’t have to defrost any that night for dinner.
Loblaws Richmond Hill:
- Greek yogurt, coconut $2.24 (original price: $4.49),
- Greek yogurt, plain $2.24 (original price: $4.49),
- Icelandic haddock fillets $5.16 (original price: $10.31) x2,
- Arctic char fillet $6.30 (original price: $12.61).
- Paid $22.30 for five items.
The yogurts here seem pricy than what I would have paid for in the past from this store but alas, it wasn’t past BB yet and still half off…
- Mixed Produce Box (1 4lb bag of Empire apples, 1 4lb bag of McIntosh apples) $5. Paid $5.28.
My friend said this wasn’t worth the price.
- Mixed Produce Box (1 box of strawberries, 27 bananas) $5. Paid $5.28.
- Mixed Produce Box (2 boxes of strawberries, 1 box of kiwis, 4 grapefruits) $5. Paid $5.28.

The husband was going to be in this area and I couldn’t help but have him pick up the milk (and then the bread). Fifty cents for 2L of milk is so darn cheap. I love it. The cheese rolls were great to make sandwiches with.
April 30, 2025:
Wholesale Club:
- Smoked turkey pastrami $1.74 (original price: $3.49). Paid $1.84.
