Weekly Photo Challenge: Variations on a Theme

 Paint Nite in Toronto

Paint Nite, Toronto. June 2014

I love this week’s theme!

This photo shows the very first time I went to a Paint Nite event.  It’s a painting class paired with drinks where we learn from an instructor who briefly teaches us how to complete a specific painting — that we chose from a set.  Every person’s painting was different even though we learned from and “copied” from the same source.  Each photo is beautiful in its own way!

I remember looking after the room as we were finishing off our paintings and seeing how unique and different everyone’s painting was.  It was really neat to see how each person interpreted the painting in their own way.  It really goes to show that we each have our own perspectives, thoughts, and expressions of the same thing.  Variations on a theme can be applied to humans too.  We’re all made up of the same blood, structure, bones, and molecules but we each are so vastly different from one person to the next.
