Upside down buildings :).
I actually found it interesting that in today’s job, counsel was very cognizant of making sure that the witnesses sat closest to the microphone, that they enunciated their words, and that they were heard clearly. I think the counsel might have thought that I was recording everything down with an audio player (which I was), but that he didn’t realize that I was actually taking everything down stenographically too and that was what was going to determine the transcript final. I didn’t mind that he make sure that the clients were all protected by recording everything accurately, but it made me feel uneasy because the future of digital court reporting will soon be among us.
