21 surprise bags bought in May 2025

I love using Too Good To Go!  It is such a fun way to try new restaurants and enjoy food that is unsold and about to be thrown out at a discounted price (1/3rd of the original price).   

Here is my monthly roundup of the surprise bags I bought in May 2025.  I bought 21 surprise bags this month!

May 10, 2025:

• Yummy!!!  My third time getting a box from this store and I am so happy with the delicious contents!  I notice their store rating is starting to creep up too since the first time I bought from them.

Yummy items!  The grilled salmon, upon heating up, was moist and a simple kind of tasty.

Loved the variety of baked goods this time!!  The pork floss, black sesame, and cupcakes were new this time for me.  The two former items tasted good (didn’t get to try the cupcakes because my kids ate them).

Very happy to try this surprise bag in Scarborough on a serendipitous night; I wouldn’t find myself here otherwise at this late pickup time or typically buy this cuisine normally.  The food was packed warm and tasted great.

Nice to get a surprise bag from here again; first time getting two bags at once from them.  The tofu salad was spicy and savory and goes well with white rice.

The tuna salad was good.  It would make for a great sandwich filling too.  The chicken nuggets and wraps good as usual.

Nice opportunity to try this tofu franchise from Cambodia.  The tofu pudding was very silky smooth.  The Chocolate Soy Milk was very watered down and tasteless.  The mala tofu puffs were savoury.

This is much fewer buns in the bag than usual.  Why does Baker Duck always fall short on their quantity?  The buns tasted fine.

LOVED this bag and shocked that their rating isn’t higher.  I can’t believe we got a full 4L bag of milk along with all those dairy products.  It is way over-value too!  First time trying the hot date hummus (yummy) and the dairy-free mozzarella cheese slices (unique take and good for sandwiches).

This mixed surprise bag was even better!  Look at all of the turmeric elixirs we got!  I can’t believe each bottle costs $23 retail and they gave three bottles in the surprise bag!  So incredible.  I can’t wait to buy another surprise bag when I’m in the area again.

Decent bag.  Nice to try the pate; it is great on bread.  Great ready-to-eat sandwiches too.

What a nice thing to buy a bouquet of flowers now from TGTG!  This is the second flower shop that I’ve seen recently on the app.  I hope more and more flower shops sign up because I loved getting this flower surprise.  Such a great deal!

I was disappointed with this bag because I thought it would have more snack items that we would actually eat.  All of it is sweet or pure sugar candies and we don’t eat those in our household.  I ended up giving 4 of the 6 items away to a friend.

They gave 3 loaves of bread the last time I got this bag (and they offered to slice it too).  Thus, I wasn’t as content with this bag this time around.

A bit of a random assortment from a small shop but still nice to try.  The pork floss cake was really delicious!  The cake was so fluffy and moist with lots of pork floss on top of it.

Super cute macarons!  Tasted fresh and the cream was very smooth.  So happy to finally try this shop!!

Both items were taken out from the freezer upon pick-up and thus needed to be defrosted before eating.  Average bag; nothing too special.

Wow!  I couldn’t believe I was able to snatch another cake bag from La Rocca!  This time, I was so happy to get their small cake bag.  Even their 6 inch cake is more than enough for us to eat for a treat.  (Just bummed that it was another carrot cake but I shouldn’t complain, haha.)

Loved the items in this surprise bag.  I especially savoured the egg salad because it had chopped-up chunks of boiled eggs, avocado, and corn in it.  What a delicious combination!!
