Here is what I bought from Flashfood in July 2025. We spent $251.03 this month (minus two refunds).
July 2, 2025:
Loblaws McCowan (200 Bullock Dr, Markham, ON):
- Oat and coconut beverage $1.99 (original price: $5.99),
- Fresh Atlantic salmon tail end $3.71 (original price: $7.43),
- Chicken leg back attached $4 (original price: $11),
- Breakfast Skillet Wrap, chorizo $1.99 (original price: $5),
- Breakfast Skillet Wrap, meat lovers $1.99 (original price: $5).
- Paid $14.46 for five items after 5% service fee and tax.
First time trying the breakfast wraps and they were a good deal for $2 each but I found out when eating one that it has potatoes in it which I wasn’t a fan of. The oat and coconut beverage was a new item to try too.
July 3, 2025:
Loblaws Richmond Hill (301 High Tech Rd, Richmond Hill, ON):
- Steelhead trout fillet $4.90 (original price: $9.81),
- Icelandic cod fillet $5.06 (original price: $10.13),
- Rainbow trout fillet $4.40 (original price: $8.81),
- Arctic char fillet $5.11 (original price: $10.23).
- Paid $20.57 for four items after 5% service fee and tax.
Stocking up on our fish pile. 🤗
- Mixed Produce Box $2 (22 bananas). Paid $2.11.
I haven’t gotten a $2 bananas bag from Loblaws in a while. Price is not amazing but not terrible either.
- Mixed Produce Box $3 (40 tomatoes). Paid $3.17.
These were really good quality! Only two tomatoes were slightly dented; the others, perfect. 😍
- Mixed Produce Box $2 (15 red Anjou/Bartlett pears, 2 Bosc pears, 1 Asian pear, 3 mangos, 5 apricots). Paid $2.11.
These were poor quality. Many of the fruits were so ripe that the skin easily came from contact and they had dark spots on them.
July 7, 2025:
Wholesale Club (10909 Yonge St, Richmond Hill, ON):
- 2L of 2% milk $2.66 (original price: $5.32),
- Cheddar cheese $3.64 (original price: $7.29) x2.
- Paid $10.50 for three items.
I haven’t seen cheese in a while on Flashfood; really glad I got to buy it.
July 8, 2025:
Wholesale Club:
- Greek yogurt, vanilla $3.74 (original price: $7.49),
- Soft tofu $1.14 (original price: $2.29) x3.
- Paid $7.56 for four items.
I believe this was our first time trying this type of soft tofu from this brand and as the name says, it really was so soft! Definitely buying this again in the future when I see it on Flashfood.
Enzo’s No Frills (9325 Yonge St, Richmond Hill, ON):
- Chicken drumsticks $4.50 (original price: $9) x2.
- Paid $9.51 for two items.
Loblaws Richmond Hill:
- Mixed Produce Box (13 Granny Smith apples, 6 red apples) $3. Paid $3.17.
Unsightly apples but this is what Flashfood is about.
- Mixed Produce Box (7 bananas, 1 apple, 13 mangos) $3. Paid $3.17.
What a surprise! In the photo on the app, I only saw the bananas and an apple sticking out. It wasn’t until getting the bag that I saw all the mangoes too. Great deal!
- Mixed Produce Box (4 packs of Mixiany cherry tomatoes) $3. Paid $3.17.
Excellent quality cherry tomatoes!
July 10, 2025:
Enzo’s No Frills:
- Pork back ribs $8.79 (original price: $17.59),
- Pork back ribs $8.78 (original price: $17.56).
- Paid $18.56 for two items.
My mom enjoys cooking these so if I see it on Flashfood, you know I will be buying it!
July 12, 2025:
Loblaws Richmond Hill:
- Faroe Island fillet $5.23 (original price: $10.47),
- Faroe Island fillet $6.19 (original price: $12.39).
- Paid $12.06 for two items.
- Mixed Produce Box $3 (3 packs of white whole mushrooms). Paid $3.17.
The quality of this mushrooms haul was poorer than usual. It meant more picking out and peeling before cooking.
- Fruit Box $2.99 (23 bananas). Paid $3.16.
Not the bestest deal we’ve got on bananas but oh well. Twenty-three bananas is a manageable number for our family to finish in a reasonable amount of time.
Enzo’s No Frills:
- Chicken drumsticks $4 (original price: $8),
- Chicken thighs, club pack $4.09 (original price: $8.18).
- Paid $8.54 for two items.
July 18, 2025:
Hashim’s No Frills (681 Silver Star Blvd, Scarborough, ON):
- Veggie Box (34 tomatoes) $5. Paid $5.28.
Not-so-good tomatoes. Some of them were visibly moldy between cracked skins. We salvaged the majority of it by making a huge vat of tomato sauce (thanks to the husband).
- Mixed Produce Box (1 honeydew, 1 jackfruit, 1 watermelon, 11 apples, 1 bag of organic carrots, 10 bananas, 11 lemons) $5. Paid $5.28.
The husband picked this produce box special just for the watermelon. It was a very good, juicy seedless watermelon too! Actually, it was our first watermelon this summer season.
The kids loved the sweet honeydew too. We didn’t open the jackfruit (?) immediately — it wasn’t looking great anyway when we brought it home — and it ended up getting mold all over the skin. When the husband got to opening it two days later, it was already soft inside and inedible. Too bad…
- Fruit Box (1 bag of Red Delicious apples, 17 mangos, 4 persimmons, 1 pineapple) $7. Paid $7.40.
The persimmons were no good. The pineapple was a bit iffy too and had mold on it from the outside (never seen that before). Apples were good. I can’t believe it has been a long time since I had a Red Delicious apple — one of my very favourites. I rarely get any from Flashfood.
- Mixed Produce Box (1 bag of yu choy, 7 heads of cauliflower, 1 bag of Shanghai bok choy, 1 bag of Shanghai boy choy Jr., 5 yellow zucchinis) $5. Paid $5.28.
The cauliflower had spots of mold on them so we simply cut it off. Still edible and a good price for it all.
July 19, 2025:
Enzo’s No Frills:
- Traditional Naan rounds $2 (original price: $4) x2.
- Paid $4.23 for two items.
My kids are obsessed with these naan rounds!
July 20, 2025:
Enzo’s No Frills:
- Chicken thighs, club pack $3.60 (original price: $7.20),
- Pork tenderloin, herbs and cheese $5.49 (original price: $10.99).
- Paid $9.60 for two items.
Nice to try these stuffed pork tenderloin items.
July 21, 2025:
Loblaws Richmond Hill:
- Icelandic cod fillet $5.69 (original price: $11.39),
- Icelandic cod fillet $4.98 (original price: $9.97),
- Yogurt, peach $2.24 (original price: $4.49).
- High protein yogurt $3.25 (original price: $6.50)
- Paid $17.08 for four items.
- Mixed Produce Box (2 napa cabbages) $3. Paid $3.17.
July 25, 2025:
Real Canadian Superstore Dufferin and Steeles (51 Gerry Fitzgerald Dr, North York, ON):
- Whole wheat Italian thick slices bread $1 (original price: $2.97)
- Romaine hearts $1.99 (original price: $9.99)
- Traditional naan rounds $1.50 (original price: $4),
- Garlic naan $1 (original price: $3),
- Turkey wings, kosher $3.07 (original price: $6.14) x2,
- 1L of Kosher 1% milk $2.54 (original price: $5.99).
- Paid $22.38 for seven items.
I love shopping at this Superstore to get lots of items at once. First time trying kosher milk! Unfortunately, the naan rounds had spots of mold in them so we had to throw away the entire pack. I got a refund for those.
Loblaws Richmond Hill:
- 1L of organic 1% milk $1.54 (original price: $4.69) x2,
- 1% cottage cheese $3.49 (original price: $6.99),
- Rainbow trout fillet $6.41 (original price: $12.83),
- Atlantic salmon fillet $6.42 (original price: $12.84).
- Paid $20.48 for five items.
In my haste to pick up the items, I didn’t look at the cartons. It wasn’t until I got home that I realized they gave me a carton of 3.25% milk instead of a second 1% milk. Ah, well. We combined the 1% and 3.25% for the kids to drink.
July 28, 2025:
Loblaws Richmond Hill:
- Greek yogurt, key lime $2.75 (original price: $5.50). Paid $2.91.

Good quality apples. Only one apple had a black spot on it.
July 29, 2025:
Enzo’s No Frills:
- Chicken drumsticks $3.92 (original price: $7.84),
- Chicken drumsticks $4.07 (original price: $8.14),
- Chicken thighs, club pack $3.93 (original price: $7.86).
- Paid $12.60 for three items.
Loblaws Richmond Hill:
- Mixed Produce Box (1 bag of organic avocados, 3 bags of fresh ginger) $3. Paid $3.17.
- Icelandic haddock fillet $4.80 (original price: $9.61). Paid $5.07.
July 30, 2025:
Loblaws McCowan:
- Mixed Produce Box (10 apples, 4 oranges, 3 garlic, 2 cauliflowers, 1 asparagus, 1 pack of cipolline onions) $5. Paid $5.28.
Great quality! We ate the cauliflower and asparagus for dinner that evening.
July 31, 2025:
Michael’s No Frills (5887 Main St, Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON):
- Veggie Box (4 eggplants, 4 red peppers) $1. Paid $1.07.
- Fruit Box (8 apples, 7 oranges) $1.50. Paid $1.58.
