I have a feeling that this week’s theme of “change” has been used before or at least this photo that I am choosing has been used for a prior photo challenge. Nevertheless, it’s a beautiful photo that shows the colours of change that we see in the season of autumn. Autumn is all about change and you see it all around you. The deciduous trees MUST change colours, shed their leaves for winter, and grow new ones in the spring time. Change is so crucial but then why do so many people avoid it? I had a friend who frequently used to comment “Karen, don’t ever change” on my Facebook photos when I wrote something cute or peculiar to me. Yes, I’m glad that you appreciate who I am and what my personality is like, but if we want to grow and improve, we need to change. Telling someone not to change is crippling them into something that they can never grow to be. Change is necessary and we see it in nature and all around us. Don’t ever tell someone not to change. Perhaps you’re the one who actually fears change and wants everything to be the same.
In any case, I cannot wait to see the beautiful changing colours of the leaves on the trees this autumn! The trees are currently still green and full with leaves right now — it’s the last week of September — but I know once the cooler weather comes, the leaves will be transforming right before our eyes. Time to take some more beautiful pictures! 🙂
Thank you for capturing and sharing this beautiful shot of colour before it goes! I love the comment your friend gives you ‘Don’t ever change’. What a lovely compliment. Here’s to enjoying the colours of Autumn! 😉
Thank you for the comment! I agree that this colour was so gorgeous! Actually, I respect those who actually say, “Keep growing” or “Keep changing”. Life is not static and we should always improve to become a better person. :3
