Weekly Photo Challenge: Minimalist

Toledo, Spain. October 2014

This week’s photo challenge was indeed a challenge.  I realized I’ve never purposely taken a ‘minimalist’ photo before.  It takes some skill and the right setting and object if you aim to have it monotone, contain negative space, with good contrast.  Actually, I’m sure that most minimalist pictures are taken accidentally.  Here is my pick for this week regardless.  It was taken last week when I was travelling in Spain.  I tried my best to choose a photo that had space in it and good contrast.  Kind of like a photo that doesn’t have much in it but tells a story.  I’m gonna need practice with minimalistic photos in my near future photography stories.  More to learn 🙂
