Ephemeral is defined as something that lasts a very short time. A good example of that to me is the peak of the beautiful autumn leaves on deciduous trees that change colour from lush green to shades of orange, red, yellow, and brown. Depending on the tree type and the proximity of the branches, the view can be absolutely stunning. Like most beautiful things, they fade and return again a year later. When I was in Busan in South Korea last autumn, I got the perfect chance to see these red beauties arrive. We definitely visited at the right time as a day or two later, they would have disappeared or lost their beauty — very ephemeral. 😉
