Simple meals are best! Despite loving unique dishes and out-of-the-ordinary cuisines or delicacies, I crave the simplest meals often. An example is congee! After many heavy meals with high GI foods, a meal with lots of veggies and simple carbs is best.
This is a little corner shop at Sui Wo Court that serves noodles, soups, light snacks. Unfortunately, they are such a small mom and pop store that they have no English name. :O
This bowl of congee was so good! They have featured congee of the day. On this day, it was one with corn and bits of beef in it. The bowl of congee was hot and nicely made — not too watery or thick. Yum! 😀
It came with a small ‘sheet’ of lightly stir-fried vermicelli. Simple yet flavourful! 🙂
Chow mein with ‘street’ sui mai. Yum!
We also ordered a bowl of noodles.
This is a plate of rice noodles that we ordered on a second visit (this place is solid to return to!). It was okay. The rice noodles weren’t as soft to my liking.
All in all, love this place! A great, fast, in-and-out breakfast place in my eyes. 🙂
