On our trip to Zhangjaijie, China last month to see the beautiful and majestic Tianmen Mountain (天門山), we had to take a bus and long cable car ride in order to get to the very top of the mountain to see the views. (From Wikipedia: Tianmen Mountain Cableway is claimed in tourist publications as the “longest passenger cableway of high mountains in the world”.) What did we do after we were done sightseeing and photographing the beauty of the tall gigantic mountains? We took two separate smaller mini vans down back to the bottom! The rounded roads of these mountains may frighten a few people. The bus drivers had to be experts at the very least in order to navigate these very sharp corners and rounded turns.

An idea of the rounded roads for you from when we were taking the cable cars up to the top of the mountain
I took a video too of the experience!
Those tight corners remind me of some I saw in Italy years ago, where buses had to go back and forth to ease around them. 🙂

It was a crazy ride. I just appended a video of the shaky bus ride to this blog post. You can see how the buses just squeeze next to each other when passing. The space is so small!
Nice article and photos! Looks like you had a great time!
Thanks, Shibin! The mountains were gorgeous and it was a great experience! 🙂
