1 month baby

And just like that, the newborn stage is gone. She turned 1 month two days ago. 😭 She looks bigger now. Her head is bigger. She doesn’t wear the newborn diapers anymore. She’s outgrowing a few outfits. She is more alert and beginning to focus on her surroundings. She took in 110ml of milk in one sitting (!). She is heavier, close to even 8.8 lbs according to the scale at home.

She moved into sleeping in her own crib and room last night. She’s no longer considered a “newborn”* after a month although still in the fourth trimester stage. My baby is growing up. I need more feeding and snuggle times with her.

And my belly has continued to shrink. It slowed down a bit but now I see it was actually shrinking at the sides which made the progress seem slow. This morning, my belly looks like a food belly instead now. 🙂

*debatable whether a baby is still considered a newborn only in the first month or not.
