Füdi Meal #5: Tandoori Chicken with Pearl Barley and Kale

Save the best for last!!  This was definitely how I felt towards the Fudi Meals that I got from Füdi Canada.  Thank you again!

For this last frozen dinner package, I finished off with the Tandoori Chicken with Pearl Barley and Kale.

As usual, all it took was a 15-minute boiling of the pouches containing the food in pot and then I plated it.  Eating these meals from Füdi have made me appreciate the art of plating a dish so much more than before.  It really likes a lot of thought and patience to plate food nicely and creatively on a plate.  It’s food art!  For this Tandoori Chicken, I also tried to make it artsy once again by cutting apart the chicken and stacking it on top of each other and using the kale and pearl barley as garnish.

Why I said this was a case of save the dish for last is because I really enjoyed this Tandoori seasoning.  It matched very well with the method of cooking for the chicken.  To my surprise, it also wasn’t very spicy at all either.  It smelled so good and the chicken was a great texture.  The kale was also very soft and went well with the Tandoori sauce.

-quarter chicken (thigh and leg, deboned and skinned), 1/4 cup of pearl barley, 1 cup of uncooked organic baby kale
