I had brunch at 15th Ave Cafe & Bistro today with a friend and it was so good!
15th Ave Cafe & Bistro is located on the ground floor of Markham Cineplex and is basically the hub of Downtown Markham. It takes over the spot where the Me Va Me used to be.
They beautifully renovated the space to look like an indoor garden chic bistro. I really enjoyed the high ceilings and comfortable vibes there.
My friend and I ordered a vegetarian appetizer, an eggs benedict, and pasta dish to share. It was all so delicious and I was very happy with our choices!
The Brussels Sprout dish had lots of Parmigiano-Reggiano sprinkled on it with a balsamic glaze and wildflower honey. It was nicely cooked and not over-done despite the dark appearance of it at first glance. There was lots of honey and glaze and sweeter than most brussels sprout dishes. It was a good shareable size too!
The Confit de Canard Signature Benedict was served with poached eggs, house salad, hollandaise sauce (on the side as requested), and tater tots! It was gorgeously plated. The duck was slow cooked for 12 hours and there was a slice of pear in the benedict too! The duck meat was so tender and soft. The pear was a nice juicy surprise too. It was a really tasty eggs benedict even though I’m not usually a huge fan of duck. However, this is one of their popular raved-about signature benedicts and I’m so glad we tried this! I would recommend ordering it.
Also, their tater tots were sooo crispy and tasty. This was another standout. The mixed greens were very fresh.
The Holy Crab Mac’ N Cheese had a dill rose sauce with aged cheddar cheese sauce. This was a generous portion and so delicious! It was the perfect comfort food to me. You can’t go wrong with cheesy cavatappi pasta covered with succulent crab meat strands. It’s best to share this dish as it is heavy and filling — but oh, so good! I really enjoyed this.
My friend got a Matcha Latte and the latte art was on point.
15th Ave Cafe & Bistro soft opened in May 2026 and is currently open every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will soon introduce a dinner menu too. I am looking forward to them expanding their menu so I can try more of their creations. Every dish was impeccable and I was so delighted eating there. The female server who tended us was so attentive and jolly too.
We dined there at 10 a.m. on a weekday Thursday and it was quiet at the beginning. The dining room completely filled up by the time we left around noon. For weekends, you definitely will want to make a reservation as I’m sure the restaurant reaches capacity quickly. There’s lots of parking, whether in the outside lots or in the underground parking.
We didn’t finish our food and took the leftovers home. Their takeout box is SO pretty (as well as the matching paper bag — not pictured)!
