After dinner with Jenn and having a lovely catch-up, I met up with Sze Chieh to also have a long-awaited catch up! I haven’t seen this girl in years and it was amazing to see her in person again. I loved the instant rapport and connection we had and our conversation flowed so well! I love having that immediate connection with friends! 🙂
I’ve been to Wanda’s Belgian Waffles before — twice actually! It turns out that they renovated the inside of their store since I didn’t remember seeing a bright green wall there last time. This location of Wanda’s Belgian Waffles is on Yonge street between Dundas Station and College Station. It’s pretty popular!
It is a casual dessert shop where you order your food, sit down if you like, and then get your food when it is ready. Some people order the food for take-out too.
On this visit, I ordered the Wanda’s Original Vanilla Waffle with a touch of whipped cream. Yum! It was very inexpensive too with the waffle being $2.99 but the whipped cream topping tipped the scale over at $1.79.
Sze Chieh ordered the Nutella crepe with a tea on the side.
Despite this being a popular dessert place, the turnover was quick, and the conversations weren’t too loud. It was a really nice cafe to fulfill a sweet tooth and have good conversation at the same time! They have free wifi too!
I enjoyed my Original Vanilla Waffle. It wasn’t too big of a portion and the vanilla waffle was slightly flavoured and the whipped cream really added to it. I really liked the flavour of it and how it tasted really fresh, but I found that it was a bit dry on its own. Having water by my side helped!
How many of you have been to Wanda’s Belgian Waffles before? Your thoughts? 🙂

I got a chuckle on the whip cream tipping it over extra lol! 😁 sure looks yummy!
Haha! Glad I made you laugh :). It was pretty good!
I bet! just from the photos again I am already craving lol
