True True Pizza just opened their newest location on the ever popular Queen Street West near Augusta Avenue (456 Queen St W) in Toronto!  The very first time that I tried a bite of True True Pizza was a year ago at the Union Summer Food Market with Grace when she had ordered their Artisan Pizza.  I remember how thin the crust was and that I Continue reading

The WORKS Gourmet Burger Bistro at St. Lawrence Market

The WORKS Gourmet Burger Bistro St. Lawrence Market

The WORKS Gourmet Burger Bistro located at 60 Wellington St E in Toronto

Before we ventured into the underwater sea world at Ripley’s, we went to The WORKS Gourmet Burger Bistro at St. Lawrence Market for some sustenance first.  I wasn’t particularly hungry so we decided to share a burger.  The WORKS Gourmet Burger Bistro is just one of several The WORKS burger joints in Ontario.  It was my first time here even though I have passed by this intersection of Front Street and Wellington numerous times.   Continue reading

Complimentary Tasting Dinner at Té

tapas from Té restaurant

Té located at 70 Ossington Ave. in Toronto

When Grace Cho, the chef and co-owner at Té, reached out to me about visiting her restaurant for a complimentary tasting in order to get my feedback and review on Zomato I was excited and looking forward to the meal!

Té is an Asian fusion restaurant on the Ossington Strip of downtown Toronto.  Their menu is an Asian twist on North American bar foods and their cocktails are tea inspired; this includes bubble tea cocktails.   Continue reading

Lalibela Ethiopian Restaurant

Lalibela Ethiopian Restaurant

Lalibela Ethiopian Restaurant located at 869 Bloor Street West in Toronto

Michelle and I had talked about going to eat at Lalibela Ethiopian Restaurant for a while.  The first time that I tried Ethiopian cuisine was way back in August 2009 after a trip to the beach with my friends.  I actually don’t even remember the name of the Ethiopian restaurant that I went to anymore either.  Continue reading

Latin American Emporium

Latin American Emporium located at 243 Augusta Ave. in Toronto

This is a little spot called Latin American Emporium that you might not know about to dine at if a friend doesn’t recommend it to you.  I met Michelle for lunch on a Tuesday and she said that she had a little lunch place in mind that was very cheap and delicious, but it was definitely a hole in a wall.  I was curious and excited to try!   Continue reading

Thank you Kinka Izakaya Original (Church Street location) for inviting me and a friend to your tasting dinner! 🙂  Kinka Izakaya used to be known as Guu Izakaya but since they have separated ways with the original franchise of the marketing group, they have now rebranded themselves as Kinka Izakaya.   Continue reading

Ramen Isshin

Ramen Isshin located at 421 College Street in Toronto

After our inaugural visit to Toronto’s first cat cafe, TOT The Cat Cafe, the three of us headed for dinner nearby.  Since we didn’t stay very long at the cat cafe or ate or drank anything too substantial, it was the perfect cold night for a bowl of ramen.  We walked about 5-7 minutes from the cat cafe to Ramen Isshin and for Alice, Anh, and I, it was our first visit to another one of the ubiquitous ramen houses in Toronto.   Continue reading

Dinner at Nuit Social

Nuit Social located at 1168 Queen St W in Toronto

Two weeks ago, Sindy and I went to Nuit Social for dinner.  This dinner was partially courtesy of Zomato — Pardis of Zomato sent me a $25 voucher to use towards a meal at Nuit Social as a thanks for all the food and restaurant blogging that I do.  (It was a great gesture; thank you!)   Continue reading

TOT The Cat Cafe located at 298 College Street in Toronto

Did you know that Toronto now has its very own cat cafe?  The idea has been touted around for several months, if not several years, and now thanks to the two co-owners who decided to take the idea into their own hands and make it a reality, hundreds and maybe thousands of cat fans around Toronto get to visit the very first cat cafe in town, TOT The Cat Cafe.   Continue reading
