After staying in Paris for the first two nights of our Europe trip 2016, we arrived in Luxembourg next. Our hotel for the night was at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Luxembourg.
After experiencing the limited and basic facilities of Comfort Hotel Airport CDG hotel, we were relieved to find that DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Luxembourg was a typical four-star hotel. Yay! I was so glad to be staying and sleeping in a “regular” hotel again.
From the outside, DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Luxembourg looked like an old apartment building and not like a four-star hotel at all. However, upon walking in, I saw a really modern and clean lobby and a large reception desk. To the left, there was a restaurant.
We gathered our belongings and went upstairs to our rooms via the elevators.
I was so happy to walk into a good-sized hotel room (definitely so much bigger than the one in Paris)!
There were two single beds, an ottoman with a small table, a computer desk with a swivel chair, flat-screen TV and a modern bathroom with a nice big mirror and a shower and tub with a handheld shower head.
We were also treated to some check-in snacks! We got some chocolate and nut cookies care of DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Luxembourg! What a nice treat! ^_^
Very random, but I also found a ladybug on the wall in the bathroom. You know that superstition about what finding a ladybug means…? 😉
Since we still had the rest of the night to enjoy our stay at the hotel, we went downstairs to check out their swimming pool and gym facilities. Here are some photos. Everything was very clean and a good area for fitness enthusiasts.
The next morning, we enjoyed a wonderful continental breakfast at their restaurant downstairs. There was a great assortment of hot and cold foods. There was the typical scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, potatoes, croissants, a great selection of baked goods, variety of cold cuts, a cute incubator-looking dome for hard-boiled eggs, and juice station.
The breakfast was pretty good; at least much better than the two breakfasts we had had at Comfort Hotel CDG in Paris.
As we were leaving, we also saw a little cute kid’s corner with portable snacks and juice boxes. These juice boxes were not like regular juice boxes; they were in the shape of a triangular prism and had an animal on it! It was so cute! I had to take two to commemorate and try! 😀
And thus, that was our stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Luxembourg. We only stayed there for one night but I enjoyed it so much. The wifi was fast, the room had multiple places for power outlets, and the room was large and spacious. There’s not much I can ask for in a hotel room! 🙂
Do you plan on travelling to Luxembourg any time soon? Have you stayed at this hotel before? Leave your comments below. 🙂

What’s the superstition about finding the ladybug?? Ohhh I’m curious!
It’s for good luck! Many cultures consider the ladybug to be very lucky. 🙂
