One of the fanciest restaurants I’ve been to thus far was Alo. This French-Canadian restaurant only serves a tasting menu and is one of the top ranked restaurants in Toronto. It is no surprise then that its food is not only delicious but every detail in the meal is set to perfection.
This was the appetizer dish of “Aged Beef Ribeye, Bone Marrow, Watercress, Shallots”. Literally every aspect of this dish was thought through carefully and meticulously by the chef. A “carpet” of meat was used as a platter on the plate itself to roll out the bone marrow, watercress, shallots on top of it. It looked like artwork.
The only part missing was a better camera on my part so that I could have captured every detail of this dish to its finest molecule. 😛
