Another day, another sheet mask review.  This has become an instant temporary new hobby of mine. 😀

This sheet mask is from Taiwan from the Dr. Morita brand.  This one is the “Caviar Moisturizing Essence Facial Mask.”  We all know that caviar is one of the finer more expensive products in life, so why not try it on a mask and soak some of the essence on your skin?  XD.

The compact sleek blue box that I bought from Mannings for sale for 58.70 HKD (original price is 118 HKD) contains 10 pouches.  To no one’s surprise, the caviar essence is at the end of the long ingredient list, meaning that it is the ingredient of least quality in the actual sheet mask.

Opening the Dr. Morita Caviar Moisturizing Essence Facial Mask box, I found ten pouches that were also sleekly designed.  Each pouch was so compact and made exactly for the size of the folded sheet mask within.  I liked that this meant there was less wasted material.

Each pouch was so small and cute

When I ripped open the perforated line on the pouch, there was already some essence leaking out from the opening.  This was a good sign.  Each pouch contained 28 g of the essence, but when I put the sheet mask on my skin, there actually wasn’t a lot of excess essence remaining for me to lather on to my neck and other areas.  I was slightly disappointed with this because 28g should be sufficient essence in a pouch to leave leftovers.

The mask fit perfectly on my face without any of the holes for eyes, nose, and mouth sitting at odd angles.  However, I felt that the sheet mask didn’t adhere to my face that well.  It poked out at certain places, and there was a big crease in the middle of my face where the fold of the sheet mask was.  There wasn’t much fragrance to this sheet mask (I guess caviar doesn’t really have a smell and they didn’t insert much unnecessary fragrance in it either).

After putting it on (the instructions said for 10 to 15 minutes — so little time), I immediately felt a cooling and very slightly tingling sensation, something I didn’t notice with the other facial sheet masks I had tried recently.  It was a nice rejuvenating sensation.

The sheet mask fit my face well

I kept the sheet mask on for about 45 minutes.  The sheet mask was still damp when I removed it, and I when squeezed the sheet mask, there was SO much essence that came out.  Did the essence not absorb into my skin at all?  Nevertheless, I used the essence that I squeezed out on my neck and dry winter legs (so moisturizing!).  I could also see the part of my face where the crease in the sheet mask fold was.

I liked this Dr. Morita Caviar Moisturizing Essence sheet mask.  It was simple to use, quick, and the tingling sensation was nice.  It left my skin feeling very supple at the end.

The next morning when I washed my face, I also felt like my face was softer too!
