The final restaurant review blog of a restaurant I ate at in Hong Kong from my autumn 2014 trip is Nra Trang. I ate at this restaurant a few days after I arrived in Hong Kong for lunch with my mom and aunt but for some reason, the photos from this visit have completely disappeared from my phone. That’s the first time that’s happened and thank goodness I had made an instagram collage of the food I had at this restaurant so that I can still recall what the food looked like. So here is this final Hong Kong restaurant review for the time being. 🙂
Nha Trang is a Vietnamese and Thai restaurant in the New Century Sha Tin Plaza. I’ve been to this restaurant before, only that this previously was a Thai restaurant of a different name (in purple themes). They are a brand new restaurant now and their menu is absolutely to die for. There are so many high quality and close-ups of all the popular dishes they serve. Mm!!! It’s really nicely decorated inside and there were a good number of people there when we arrived.
We chose 1 appetizer, 1 salad, and a noodle soup to share: Hanoi tomato and crab noodle soup, lotus stem salad, and soft shell crab roll.
The soft shell crab roll looked SO impressive in the picture in the menu and I thought it would be delicious because I absolutely love soft shell crab. Unfortunately, when it arrived, the roll was so tiny and there were only four pieces. Also, it wasn’t very flavourful. It was pretty disappointing.
The lotus stem salad was something that I had never had before. This was a great recommendation by my aunt and it was a very refreshing salad. The lotus stems were very fresh and crispy. It was truly a vegetarian dish that is good for you too.
Lastly, the noodle soup was just okay. The tomato-based soup base was strong and the noodles were pretty good too.
Coming back to this restaurant for another visit is not even a question to me. I would love to come back here to try more! We definitely didn’t have enough this time around.
