After we picked up some cool products from Brampton, the three of us headed for lunch! There are so many HK-style cafes all over Markham and Richmond Hill that it wasn’t a huge surprise that I hadn’t tried out this restaurant before.
It’s called Kenny’s Gourmet and is so similar to Kenny’s Noodle or Kenny’s Delight XD.
There weren’t too many people inside during this weekday lunchtime and the space inside was large and clean.
I ordered a bowl of noodles — thin egg noodles, pork bone soup, fish puffs, and shrimp wontons. 😀 It was okay; nothing particularly outstanding or delicious. Especially if you compare this to a specialty soup noodles place like Deer Garden Signatures.
Ronny ordered a dish of Portuguese chicken baked rice. It looked good and surprisingly was actually very, very well done! The boneless chicken pieces were large and tender — rare to see at these places sometimes. The Portuguese sauce was also thick and creamy, something I adore about HK-style cafes. 🙂 Yum!
Janice ordered a plate of stir-fried beef.
I would return to this restaurant, and if I were you, I would recommend trying their Portuguese chicken baked rice. 🙂

Portugese sauce dishes and beef fried beef, the MUST orders from HK style restaurants 🙂
Yes! Haha 😀
