November 26, 2018:
Gal’s Sushi has a second location in North York! It’s in the plaza on Yonge Street north of Steeles and the World on Yonge building.
Clarissa and I had dinner here. Inside, it was nice with individual booths on the sides and dark moody atmosphere. The servers were pleasant and warm here.
I ordered the crab salad roll and spicy salmon sushi roll only from the individual rolls menu. Their crab salad roll is one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s always creamy and smooth. The spicy salmon roll is pretty good too. The best part about their sushi is the rice to filling ratio since it has minimal rice but lots of filling. :9
(I realize that dinner combos can add up to $20-ish these days which puts you over to nearly $30 after tax and tip. No thank you. This way, I get to eat the rolls I enjoy for only $15. The other bento boxes and dinners are bigger portion for sure but if you’re there mainly to chat, two sets of rolls is perfect. We each got a salad, miso soup, and four types of Korean banchan to share too!)
