Old Firehall Confectionery located at 170 Main Street Unionville in Markham
Last Wednesday, I attended the Firehall After Dark, a Yelp Elite Ladies only event, at Old Firehall Confectionery. This was a really great event just for the Yelp Elite ladies to enjoy some sweets, alcohol, and lots of chocolate at this popular and well-known confectionery shop (there was a separate Yelp Elite event for the gentlemen too that same night).
Old Firehall Confectionery is one of the major draws at Main Street Unionville in Markham where the entire store is lined with sweets and sugar treats fit for any age. Continue reading

Look at all of those leaves and branches all intertwining together. You can’t even see where the start of a branch is and where it ends. Corks Winebar & Eatery located at 19 Queen St at Niagara-on-the-Lake
Before we left Niagara-on-the-Lake, we had a late lunch/early dinner at Corks Winebar & Eatery. The storefront of this restaurant already piqued my interest when we were strolling down Queen Street in this little tourist town because it looked so modern compared to the other storefronts and inviting. Old Stone Inn Boutique Hotel located at 6080 Fallsview Blvd in Niagara Falls
Last weekend, we stayed at the Old Stone Inn Boutique Hotel when we were spending the weekend away in Niagara Falls. This hotel was one that popped up on Groupon when we were briefly looking for a hotel to make reservations for for our trip. Like many of the other hotels listed, this also included breakfast and dine-in vouchers, and wine tasting and chocolate tour tickets. What made this hotel stand out though was its affordable pricing, close location to the Falls, and really rustic and unique-looking interiors! Continue reading
Konzelmann Estate Winery located at 1096 Lakeshore Rd in Niagara-on-the-Lake
After our brief stint at the Chocolate F/X chocolate factory, we proceeded along the route towards Niagara-on-the-Lake and visited Konzelmann Estate Winery. The hotel stay was so awesome in that we also received a free voucher to go wine tasting at this winery! I was looking forward to it since there are so many wineries in Niagara and Niagara-on-the-Lake, of which many are well-known in Ontario. Continue reading
Whole Foods Market Unionville located at 3997 Hwy 7 in Markham
Last night, there was a Cheese Soirée held at the Whole Foods Market in Unionville. Thanks to a Facebook sponsored ad, I saw this event float up in my newsfeed and I was highly intrigued. For only $5 donation, there was going to be a cheese soirée! This Whole Foods Market was close to me and thus, I thought why not and RSVPed to go. Continue reading
