This was my second time visiting “Home of Hot Taste” in Thornhill. I had trouble remembering what the name of this Korean chicken-based eatery was since almost everything in the restaurant is written in Korean. I wanted to eat here again because they have some really delicious authentic Korean food! Apparently this is a chain restaurant and they have over 200 restaurants alone in just Korea! They also have a location in downtown Toronto.
The first time I was introduced to this place was with a friend who brought me out to dinner with some of her friends. As a group of 8, we ordered a lot of food and shared everything since most of the dishes on the menu are shareables. When ordering their chicken dishes, you can choose from ordering a whole chicken, half a chicken, and small or large orders of their chicken wings. They have many different flavours: spicy shown with 1 pepper (semi-spicy) or 3 peppers (ultra spicy)! They also have soy sauce chicken wings.
I remembering having the “Fusion Fried Egg” last time and absolutely loved it. It’s a really soft, long tube of fried egg that has green onions and kimchi inside. It’s topped with some Japanese mayonnaise and sweet sauce. It’s absolutely to die for. The same sentiment followed this time since it was just as delicious as the first time I tried it.
A knife is provided so that you can cut the egg slice by slice to enjoy. It’s best when eaten hot right off of the plate! Look at that kimchi just peeking out in the middle waiting for you to engulf it. 😀
I also wanted to try their famous fried spicy chicken for the second time. I ordered the lunch special which consisted of a salad, fried rice, and 6 spicy chicken wings. Yum!!
To my surprise, the “chicken wings” turned out to be chicken drumsticks. Oh, well. It was still very delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the sauce on top of each one was amazing. It was spicy, but not so spicy that I couldn’t eat another bite.
Everything was very satisfying and the service was excellent. I can’t wait to come back next time to try their “Blazing Fire Chicken with Cheese”! Tried it! Read about my review here!

I’ve been here a few times too, but never tried the “Fusion Fried Egg”. I will take your word that it’s yummy! I really like when you order the rice and it comes with a bit of seaweed and this plastic glove that you can use to roll the rice into a rice ball. I think it’s absolutely fun & yummy! 🙂 Thanks for reviewing the food from this restaurant!!
Oh, yeah, I had the rice the first time that I was there too! I was actually there with Juliana and her friends! No problem! Try the Fusion Fried Egg next time! It’s a great dish to share. 🙂
Cool! Ok, will do. 🙂
