My family and I had dinner and morning dim sum at Chiuchow Garden Restaurant on two separate occasions. It’s a nice restaurant that has huge chandeliers that hang from their ceilings. It was the very first thing that I noticed. The devil side of me thought, “Wow, if that fell… everyone sitting underneath that table would die or get injured really badly” *knock on wood*. Their decor is certainly beautiful and the pictures on their menu is too.
However, their service is simply not the greatest. My aunt and uncle have been here before and my uncle actually really dislikes the restaurant due to their record of bad service. Their food is pretty good though which is why they visit every so often.
An example of their poor service? Ignoring customers’ requests for filling up teapots, taking orders, and being plain rude. Not a good trait at all.
Here’s what we ordered at dinner!
Here’s what we ordered at dim sum the next visit:

Stir fried noodles that were fine and soft. As you can see, these were all demolished before i got a chance to take a picture
So, my verdict: Some of the food dishes were good but some, not that great and were just average. Considering their not-so-great behaviour, it’s no wonder that my uncle doesn’t want to return often.

I haven’t had cold pork jelly before, Interesting. What surprises me though is that you had bad service and in HK at that! I thought most were great service? 😉
Me too. In the past, I remembered having great service at most restaurants but this visit, we’ve seen quite a few rude servers and in service people in general. I don’t know why people are so grumpy. It’s really sad, actually.
Geesh, if they aren’t happy with their job they can find another rite? cause it affects food quality
Unfortunately, some people don’t have that choice or are just miserable beings.. lol
Always one wherever you go huh!
