Chef’s Plate: Red Spiced Pork Tenderloin

Chef's Plate Red Spiced Pork Tenderloin

Chef’s Plate!  Actually I think they recently rebranded themselves as “Chefs Plate”.  I’m not sure of the reason why but the service itself has not changed and I still love the convenience of making brand new recipes at home using pre-packaged and pre-portioned fresh groceries that are delivered right to my doorstep!

For my 16th plate from Chefs Plate, I made the Red Spiced Pork Tenderloin with carrots and mini potatoes in a lemon paprika sauce.  This had a difficulty level of Easy (I haven’t done an Easy recipe in a while!) and prep time was 30 minutes.

I did enjoy that this recipe was simple and definitely easier than the other ones.  All I really had to do was wash and cut everything up, marinate the pork tenderloin, sear it, mix all of the produce together, and place everything on a foil lined baking sheet and into the oven it went for 18 to minutes.

Instead of following the recipe exactly where it said to have the vegetables drizzled with olive oil and salt and pepper on the baking sheet, I mixed it together first in a bowl so that everything coated together well

After that, it went straight on to the plate and was served.  Yum!

Ta-da!

It makes two servings!

I did enjoy this dish.  The pork tenderloin was marinated with the red charmoula (tomato paste, honey, Red Charmoula Spice Mix — smoked paprika and red chili flakes — 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and lemon juice.  Even when I was mixing it together, I smelled it delicious spicy but tasty smell from the Spice Mix.  When I tasted the dish, the pork tenderloin had just the right mix of spice and sourness from the lemon in the sauce.  It was a very good combination!

The pork tenderloin was just right as well; it wasn’t rough or chewy or undercooked.

The golden cherry tomatoes, tomato, carrots, and mini potatoes were all fresh and were a good fit with the pork.
