Shockingly, this brand of facial sheet mask called Annabella from Thailand works amazingly and is so hydrating!! :O

I was at Watsons and wanted to buy some facial masks to try (sheet masks galore in Asia).  This bright pink and rather nondescript box with rudimentary Comic Sans font of face masks was on sale and one of the cheapest ones in the store (originally priced at 63 HKD and on sale at the time at 35 HKD = about $5.80 CAD for a box of 10 sheet masks).  I decided to try it out. It was from Thailand of all places.  (I later did some Googling and learned that sheet masks are just as popular in Thailand as they are in South Korea.  Who knew?!)

The cardboard box of Annabella Haematococcus Pluvialis Facial Repair Mask contained 10 individually packaged sheet masks and felt heavier than its other counterparts on the shelves.

I tried it at home later that night and was blown away with how much essence the sheet mask contained in the package!  The single plastic package had 30 mL worth of essence in the amazingly skin-thin mask.  When I put it on, it felt like a second skin.  Whaattt.  How can this super affordable and non-luxury brand of sheet masks be of such high calibre?!  I was absolutely blown away.

(Despite being so thin, it helpfully came with a thin plastic sheet between the mask which made unfolding the mask easy peasy.)

So smooth!

After putting the sheet mask snugly on my face, there was enough essence in the package for me to continue to drench my forehead and nose with it (as well as my neck, arms, and hands).  The instructions called for 15 to 20 minutes, but it was so moisture-heavy that I continued to apply the essence from the packet onto my face after the 10-minute mark.  I ended up having the sheet mask on for over an hour.  When I did peel it off, the thin sheet was still richly moist.

My face seemed more radiant and shiny afterwards from all the hydration.  It had been a while to see it so bright and shiny (in a good way).

Would I recommend this sheet mask?  Absolutely yes 100%!!  I just couldn’t believe how form fitting the mask was to my skin.  I’ve never had a sheet mask that sat so snugly before.  It was amazing.  Secondly, you can’t beat the price.  I do plan to return back and buy more (unless I try something else that beats this brand).

I bought the hydrating version as well (in a blue box).  I’ll try that out and give my first impressions on it as well, but I have reason to believe I’ll have the same satisfying experience as this repair mask.
