Four food enthusiasts and I went for dinner at Imanishi Japanese Kitchen on a Saturday evening.  Imanishi Japanese Kitchen is located on 1330 Dundas Street West in downtown Toronto.  It’s a small casual restaurant where you can share Japanese tapas with friends.  Their sign doesn’t actually say the name of their restaurant.  Instead, it shows “Cafe Regional Bar & Grill” with only a tiny print on the glass showing their actual name.   Continue reading

I’m such a nerd, a steno nerd that is.  Today was the first day that I went back to work as a court reporter after a long hiatus.  I’ve been using my stenograph every day at home whenever I am at my computer, either to use for blogging this blog or just typing messages and having conversations with friends online using the Stenokeys function because it is so much faster and easier than using the QWERTY keyboard to type.   Continue reading

After staying in Paris for the first two nights of our Europe trip 2016, we arrived in Luxembourg next.  Our hotel for the night was at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Luxembourg.

After experiencing the limited and basic facilities of Comfort Hotel Airport CDG hotel, we were relieved to find that DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Luxembourg was a typical four-star hotel.   Continue reading

I had the pleasure and privilege to be invited to the press event opening of Caplansky’s Deli yesterday afternoon in Yorkvile, Toronto.  They are officially open today, May 6, 2016, for business.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Earth

With my recent trip to Keukenhof in the Netherlands, I was able to have another glance at just how beautiful our earth can be.  Keukenhof “Garden of Europe” is home to one of the biggest tulip fields in the world, giving Holland its famous landmark.

We were in Reims, France for a short stay.  Reims is known as the land of champange!  So neat.

For lunch, we dined at Le Gaulois.  Looking at ther menu, it showed English translated notes beneath the French menu items and we knew that we wanted to try some foie gras and escargots while in France.   Continue reading
