My Bridal Shower!

Where do I start? It began honestly with a non-idea. I didn’t really want a bridal shower. I wasn’t a fan of the typical, stereotypical bridal showers where all the females are invited to fawn over the bride, play games, eat food, open presents, and take photos. I have enough material items already. I don’t need more. I enjoy hanging out with my friends on quality one-on-one dates, and I have never ever invited more than two groups of friends together. It’s just not my style. (I’m also an introvert, so that is why I don’t favour large groups.) Continue reading →

Yoga Bodies (formerly Hot Yoga Wellness Richmond Hill) [Defunct]

January 2020: ~~New year, a new change in the schedule again. The Tuesday and Thursday 6:30 a.m. classes have been eliminated. RIP.~~ Oh, seems like they’re back again.

December 2019: Co-owner Amanda is back at the Richmond Hill studio. She brings a new class Barrelates as well as a completely revamped schedule. There are new banners and an advertisement board outside the studio facing 16th Avenue as well as more steep discounts for students ($350 for two classes a week for a year!! which comes down to $3.50 a class. Their latest promotion is FIVE classes a week for a year for just $550 = $2.39 a class after tax if you manage to hit full attendance. I’ve never seen any Continue reading →

July 20, 2019: I’m thankful to be invited on this year’s walking tour again to preview some of the restaurants that will be participating in this year’s The Feast of St. Lawrence “Dinner under the Stars” event, a six-course sit-down feast for 250 people with wine, beer, and whisky pairing right on Front Street in downtown Toronto in support of Second Harvest.

Vegan Food at Copper Branch [Defunct]

Copper Branch located at 180 Enterprise Blvd in Markham

May 26, 2019: I was first exposed to Copper Branch earlier this year as part of a Yelp event. I returned here with Tracy to try out the vegan selections further.

Everything is made from vegetables and fruit or soy proteins on their menu, so that all of the “meat” are actually mock meat. It’s one of the newest restaurants to hit the downtown Markham area at Birchmount and Highway 7. Continue reading →
