I’ve been to this restaurant several times with friends and family. They serve many types of Western dishes in an HK-cafe style fashion by serving their lunch or dinner combos with a drink and a soup of the day.
On this particular night, my mom and I picked the dinner special where you can buy one dinner and get one free for just $25.99 altogether. The restaurant was decorated in a very festive holiday mode with lots of Christmas trees and Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus salt and pepper shakers on the table.
The combo came with two lobster bisques and warm bread and butter. I always love eating their bread buns here because they’re always perfectly warm. The butter just melts right into it. 🙂 The lobster bisques were very hot and smelled like lobster even though I didn’t really see any lobster meat in it.
The baked half lobster cream cheese in linguini with clam and mushroom cream sauce was pretty good. The half lobster was very yummy and I especially loved the cream cheese that was baked on top of it. I can never get enough of cheese. 🙂 The linguini tasted like regular spaghetti, but you can never count on these HK-style cafes to serve authentic pasta. I loved the dish regardless.
The BBQ tenderloin skewers in black pepper sauce with rice was decent as well. I liked how the black pepper sauce was definitely spicy and black peppery enough. The tenderloin pieces on the skewers were very tender and not overcooked. The rice went really well with the black pepper sauce. 🙂
Dessert was included with the dinner combo and was a small mango pudding. The mango sauce that topped the pudding was rich and smelled of delicious mango.
I’m sure I’ll stop by this restaurant again. It’s very casual, the food is delicious for the most part, and the prices are relatively decent. Also, they offer free wifi. 🙂
Sounds great! 🙂 I guess there’s no gluten-free and dairy-free options eh?
Thanks, Violet! 🙂 Hmm, I don’t think so… you know these Chinese restaurants… they’re usually not so good in catering to gluten-free and dairy-free guests unfortunately
Yes, that’s true. Wouldn’t it be amazing if they start offering gluten-free and dairy-free options? 🙂
Yep, they should! I’m sure in the future, we will see more and more restaurants that offer these options 🙂
My parents come here all the time for their HK cafe style food. The quality is pretty decent.
Agreed! I like the food here as well. 🙂
