Las Vegas Eats 2015: Hash House A Go Go — Dessert Version

Located at 3535 Las Vegas Blvd S in Las Vegas

After we sampled a bit of the pizza at Secret Pizza, we headed to Hash House A Go Go where the other members of Team Warrior were and we had dessert there.  Hash House A Go Go is a famous breakfast and brunch place in Las Vegas that serves gigantic portions of food.  Vivian, Eric, and I came here last year for brunch and we couldn’t even finish two dishes between the three of us.  It’s a really great place to visit if you’re in Las Vegas!

Our nice big rectangular table where the napkins were crisscrossed like Xs

Our table of 7 ordered three desserts and shared them.  Even then, because their desserts are so humongous, we needed help to finish it it all.  That’s what you call intense!

Our server recommended the banana pancake for us (it’s a house favourite) and we definitely enjoyed it.  It was a gigantic portion and smelled so heavenly when it arrived.  Yum!! 😀  The banana pancake was the best since it smelled so good and was a nice pancake that was also crispy on the outside.

Special of the Day — Banana Pancake

We each got serving plates to try the desserts. This was the banana pancake. Even two slices of it were more than enough for me!

We also ordered “Andy’s Famous Bread Pudding”.  It was so pretty and definitely deserved more than one picture.  It tasted okay.  It was half chocolate and half mush and not like the usual bread pudding that I was used to.  It was also very heavy so you definitely have to share it with more than four people.  Each person having one slice in our group of 7 was actually perfect.  😀

Last of all, we had the Fresh Strawberry Shortcake.  It was also an immense size.  All of their desserts actually serve four people.  It says so right on the menu haha.  All of their dessert is made fresh every day.  The strawberry shortcake was a little bland but tasted very well made with great ingredients.  I guess I have to say that it wasn’t the best shortcake that I’ve ever had.

I think the desserts weren’t worth the hype though.  I think their specialty is still their gigantic breakfast dishes!  My favourite for the night though was definitely the banana pancake.. although if given the choice, I would prefer a different fruit pancake (I’m not a huge fan of bananas).

This was so much fun to eat together.  We actually still had a lot of dessert left because the portions were just so big.  Considering that each dessert serves four people, 3 desserts times 4 is 12.  We only had 7 people at our table!  No wonder we couldn’t finish it.  The picture don’t do the size of the desserts any justice.  You have to see it in person to believe it!

I can’t wait to come back again next year and try more of their main dishes. 😀
