New Menu Items at KAKA All You Can Eat ~ Summer 2016

KAKA All You Can Eat

KAKA All You Can Eat located at First Markham Place at 3235 Highway 7 East, Unit 18A in Markham

KAKA All You Can Eat is back at it again to snag the title (in my books) for having the tastiest and high quality menu items for an all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant.  KAKA All You Can Eat is located in Markham at the First Markham Place plaza near Highway 7 and Woodbine.  Ever since opening in the fall of 2015, it’s been a popular place for hungry foodies to dine at this all-you-can-eat restaurant where you order the items with a iPad on your table and service is efficient and fast (reservations can sometimes take up to 2 months, so book early!).   Continue reading

R5 at Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort

R5 at Niagara Falls Fallsview Casino Resort

R5 located at Niagara Falls Fallsview Casino Resort at 6380 Fallsview Boulevard, Niagara Falls

Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort has a “new” lounge and restaurant called R5 (I say “new” because it has apparently been around for more than 8 years but has only been recently marketed and advertised).  It is located on the second floor above the Golden Lotus Chinese restaurant and you can access it by either stairs or elevator.   Continue reading

Night It Up! located at 101 Town Centre Blvd in Markham

I finally got to try the infamous Japanese Raindrop Cake!  Social media is incredibly influential nowadays and it was through this medium that I first heard about this unique Japanese dessert.

Thus, once I found out that it was available in Toronto at one of the food festivals, I was eager to get my hands on one to try. 😀   Continue reading

Summerlicious 2016 Restaurant #1: Against the Grain Urban Tavern

Wild Mushroom Pizza

Against the Grain Urban Tavern located at 87 Laird Dr in Toronto

I used to be a giant fan of the LiciousTO series in Toronto — Summerlicious and Winterlicious every year since university — but ever since attending more and more exclusive foodie events in the past two years and going out to enjoy food quite often, I don’t feel as big of a need to run out and participate in the Licious TO restaurants.

With that said, I did attend one Summerlicious participating restaurant this year with a few friends for dinner ($28 prix fixe) and it was great! 🙂   Continue reading

I returned to the TO Food Fest this year, 2016.  I originally wasn’t planning to go but when my friend Betty asked me, it was hard to say no to a foodie festival once invited. 🙂   Continue reading

Thanks to Eirene who let me know about the Maker Festival in Toronto, I was able to experience it for the first time! :D.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Details

Aged Beef Ribeye, Bone Marrow, Watercress, Shallots

Alo Restaurant, Toronto. April 2016

One of the fanciest restaurants I’ve been to thus far was Alo.  This French-Canadian restaurant only serves a tasting menu and is one of the top ranked restaurants in Toronto.  It is no surprise then that its food is not only delicious but every detail in the meal is set to perfection.   Continue reading
