September 4 to 7, 2018: We were so lucky to be able to stay at a BnB which provided daily included breakfast at a local cafe! The host must have struck a deal with this La Pasticceria Siciliana bakery in order to offer free vouchers every day of our stay. On this third day of our Rome adventures, we hurriedly rushed out of the door again in order to make it to the breakfast place to grab our croissants and beverages and in order to catch our 10:30 a.m. reservation at the Colosseum.

September 5, 2018: After marvelling at the magnificent Trevi Fountain, we browsed the nearby streets for a restaurant for dinner. Vince gave us a tip to look for restaurants with the “trattoria” word in it (which meant simple Italian dishes that usually were more local and less commercial). It took us a while to weed through the tourist traps, but we finally spotted a nice-looking restaurant with the “trattoria” sign.
