Weekly Photo Challenge: Scale

 child on plastic rhino

Window of the World, China. August 2009

I was going to post a more typical photo of something that relates to “scale” this week but this photo caught my eye as I was browsing all my thousands of photos.  This photo shows scale too!  Look at how cute and small that little boy is compared to the plastic fake rhino and its baby.  Also spot the pink shopping bag to the left and its size. 😀   Continue reading

September 26, 2017:  Today, we dined with our travel buddies again for a lunch buffet at the Yamm at The Mira Hong Kong Hotel.  There was a deal where if you had four people, the fifth person was free.  We had six people together so it was still kind of a nice deal.

We arrived promptly at the posh hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui at 12 p.m.  The buffet restaurant called Yamm was actually Continue reading

Dinner at Glorious Cuisine

Glorious Cuisine

Glorious Cuisine located at G/F, 31-33 Shek Kip Mei Street, Sham Shui Po in Hong Kong

September 24, 2017:

For dinner, we went to Glorious Cuisine (增煇大排檔 & 增煇藝廚) with our travel buddies.  I originally thought this was a legitimate dai pai dong restaurant since their Chinese name had the words “大排檔” in it.  Alas, I was disappointed when we arrived and I found out that it was actually more of a typical Chinese restaurant.  I believe they used to operate as a traditional dai pai dong but has since adapted with the modern times to become a sit-down Continue reading

Weekly Photo Challenge: Pedestrian

 Gardens by the Bay, Singapore

Gardens by the Bay, Singapore. March 2013

This was one of the coolest pedestrian bridges I’ve ever been on!  It is the Gardens by the Bay attraction in Singapore where you walk above the ground in these huge Supertrees that look so futuristic and cool!  Other than walking pedestrians, you don’t have to worry about cars or any other vehicle on this type of elevated walkway.

As for this week’s intended theme, this bridge is actually Continue reading
