Yamamoto Japanese Cuisine [Defunct]

My friends and I went to a Japanese all-you-can-eat restaurant last night and I was  pleasantly surprised at the quality and yumminess of the food!  It’s a new restaurant that opened up at Market Village where the Mongolian grill place used to be.

The selection of the food was great and everything we had was delicious!  To name a few of what we had:  salmon sashimi, white tuna sashimi (this melted right in my mouth as I ate it.  SO good!), everyone got half of a baked lobster (you’ll have to go from now until June 16, 2013 for this promotion to still be in effect!), spicy beef ramen, soba noodles, butter mushrooms, curry mussels, grilled octopus, deep fried chicken knuckles (yum!), beef sashimi, really bouncy and “qi” curry fish balls, cubed Sirloin beef (this could have been more tender), shrimp and vegetable tempura, baked avocado seafood (this was so rich and delicious; one of the most unique and yummiest things I’ve had — I love avocado in general!) , takoyaki, enoki beef rolls, grilled eggplant, steamed egg custard (dun dan — SO smooth!), and of course, lots of varieties of sushi rolls.  The dessert selection was impressive too!  They had creme brulee, green tea pudding, durian mousse (this tasted really good! See my post on durians lol), mango yogurt, 5 types of ice cream (the green tea ice cream was amazing!), and lots of other stuff!  Too good to pass up.  We were all full to the brim by the end of the night.

This was our first order of desserts and doesn’t even include some of the ice cream that came a few minutes later lol. Everything was so pretty there! Love these little cups. =)

I definitely recommend this place.  The decor is really nice too!  The place is nice and open and they seem to want to make the place look like Japan itself.  They have the tall red gates of the Itsukushima Shrine and a painting of Fuji Mountain.  Really cool!  Maybe I’ll even try to go again while they still have their half a lobster promotion.  Hehe :9
