Over the weekend, I visited Niagara Fallsview Casino with my mom and we had breakfast/lunch at the Grand Buffet which is located directly inside the casino. I’ve been to this buffet a handful of times before and I always enjoy their food. They have a great variety of cold dishes, salads, hot dishes, soups, a carving station, and their dessert station is ENORMOUS! It’s literally a station that resembles a mini kitchen in the centre of the restaurant and has plates among plates and dishes of desserts for you to walk by and pick up. It’s pretty amazing.
There is a 90-minute limit on seating, so if you want to eat everything, you will want to eat quickly (and hopefully you have room for all of the the variety and choices)! 🙂 In the past visits to this restaurant, I was usually able to stuff myself with 3-4 plates of yummy food. I always go for the hot dishes, followed by some cold dishes like salads or seafood, and then maybe a food, and dessert to finish off the meal.
On this particular visit, it was my first time visiting during their breakfast hours so I was able to experience what their breakfast tasted like. Yum! They had the typical scrambled eggs, pork sausage, bacon, sauteed mushrooms (these are SO good!), Sauteed tomatoes, and Eggs Benedict too! There were a lot more as you’ll see on my plate below. 🙂 There was so much to choose from that I had to put the eggs benny on a second plate.
I liked the Eggs Benedict; the English muffin was very chewy but soft at the same time.
Also, they have a station set up specifically for scrambling fresh eggs and creating an omelette where you can choose exactly which ingredients you want in it. The omelette is HUGE! Considering that the price of the buffet is $12 for breakfast, this itself is well worth the price!
The advantage of entering the buffet at 10:30 a.m. in the morning meant that we crossed over into lunch time without actually having to pay the lunch price of $20. So, right after I finished my plate of breakfast foods, I walked out to get another plate and lunch was already being served. I was feeling very full already with the breakfast plate so I opted for some salad and shrimps. Their cold shrimps are extremely fresh, crispy, and delicious! The best is when you put some tomato sauce on them and spritz some lemon juice on it. The mussels are also very good.
Since I was so full and it actually took me quite a while to eat through everything, once I was done my second plate, I only had enough time to have two desserts. In fact, my mom ate a lot faster than me and grabbed these for me to save time.
The cheesecake was incredibly creamy and smelled so good. The sugar reduced apple pie was also very soft and yummy.
I wish I had more time to eat as the 90 minutes wasn’t enough for me. However, I’m a fairly slow eater and on this particular day, I was extremely filled up with the breakfast omelette and Eggs Benedict.

I’m pretty sure I’ll come again. Next time, I’m going to save room to tackle more of the dessert station (especially now that I’ve tried out their breakfast). 🙂
