The green juice makes a comeback on Day 3 of my March detox! One of my very first posts as a blogger featured a green juice. Click and read it here! Back then, I went through a phase where I was addicted to juicing fruits and vegetables every morning since it was a fast way to get all my nutrients in one meal, or rather in one glass. Even though at the time, I had every intention of continuing to juice every single day because of its apparent health reasons, as with most sudden phases, they tend to go out sooner or later.
This week, because I am on my 7-day detox, I figured it would be the perfect time to bring out my blender again for some good use — shake off the dust and blend up a storm so to speak. 😉
I put in an apple, a handful of blueberries, baby spinach, carrots, and cucumbers. I added some water and then pressed the blend button. The outcome looks SO disgusting, but it tasted very smooth, sweet, and refreshing! 🙂 This portion made 2 large glasses of green juice.
Yesterday afternoon, I felt SO tired and took a nap. If it wasn’t for a phone call that woke me up, I would have continued napping. I usually don’t take afternoon naps and especially not naps where I feel like I’m in deep sleep. It must be the lack of sugar or protein that is making me tired. Or lack of iron? I’m not sure actually. Other than that though, I’m feeling a little empty inside, but not particularly like I’ve starving. I also felt a little cold in my extremities. Hmm.
Once today is done, tomorrow is Day 4 which means that we’ll be halfway through the detox!! Yay! My other friends are doing okay with the detox so far… but when a bunch of us met up on Monday, we were talking about the food that we would rush towards once this detox is done. Foods like chicken wings, chips, fries, sushi, noodles, etc., etc. I personally want to have something steaming hot like a bowl of tasty ramen with chicken right now. Mmmm…

Keep up the great work, Karen! I may even try this detox sometime in the future. 😛
Thank you, Shirley!! I can’t wait to eat something of substance again lol. Yeah, let me know when you want to do it in the future! 🙂
I love juicing!! We should have a party lol
Haha, what are your favourite things to juice, Holly? 🙂
great work – and keep it up!
Hi! Thank you so much! 🙂
YUMMMY 🙂 You make detoxing looks easy and fun ❤ 😀 I can't wait to go on detox after exams 😀
Lol, yay! I’m glad that I make it look that way. Maybe then more people can join us in the next detox! 🙂 (Twice a year is best for optimal colon health!)
