Stop! Reflection time! The reason I started this very blog was only a little more than a year ago in March of 2013. See the post here. I remember flying back from my Asia trip and into Toronto and starting my blog the day afterwards. I wanted a place to document my thoughts, pictures, and adventures but didn’t want to just shove a bunch of pictures onto the servers of Facebook anymore.
I had been following a number of blogs that made me laugh and I’ve always loved the act of writing and reading. Starting a blog was just very natural and the name ‘stenoodie’ also came to me in an instant. Why am I writing this post today? Last night, I arrived back in Toronto after a month of travelling. On my trip, I explored more of Hong Kong, going on my first “Eurotrip” to Spain and Portugal, seeing more of South Korea in Busan and Jeju Island, and even more of Hong Kong. This was quite a long trip and without taking some time to document it, I know I will forget all the details and fresh memories very soon.
To this day, I am so thankful and happy that I chose to start this blog. I can’t believe that it’s only been a little more than a YEAR that I started this blog. We all know that so much can happen in one year, two years, five years that I still can’t believe the number of adventures I’ve had in only these 365 days-ish. I wish I had started sooner so that I could reflect and record all of my adventures. Life is so short. It’s so fun for me to write and post things every day and share this with readers on a global scale. I get an average of 250-300 viewers every single day currently and I still don’t know who reads my stuff, but whoever does, I’m grateful. 🙂
Let’s see what adventures I go on in this coming year and for the next year and a bit. I already have some travel plans in store and I will do a final end-of-the-year reflection post next month in December (just like last year again). ^_^
