Sept 25, 2016 – Sichuan Garden 川淮居

Later that night, after having dim sum in the morning at Sichuan Garden, we returned there for dinner.

We ordered a variety of Sichuan and Chinese dishes to share.  Unfortunately, while all the other dishes were great, especially the Sauteed lettuce shoots with dried chili, while we were eating dessert, we discovered that the Souffle balls with red bean paste and banana actually had a very disturbing and unappetizing surprise in it….  When my cousin was prying open one of the souffle balls in an attempt to share them with another family member, an entire bug popped out of the insides.  I didn’t include a photo but we waved down a staff member immediately and they took away the plate.  The manager ended up coming to our table to speak to us.  It was a really horrid experience.  We had that item taken off of our bill but we didn’t want to eat anything else that night.

We surmised that there was probably something wrong with the flour used to make the souffle balls… :/
