It’s so hot in the GTA this week that I finally broke down and turned on the air conditioning unit. I broke my record of four years of not switching the AC unit on since moving into this house in September 2014. 🙂
I remember the first summer we lived here was a cold one. Last year was hot and humid but I made it through by sweating it out. This year, I can’t do that anymore because 40°C and above in a humid boiling house causes productivity to fall to zero and I have to do some work at home. 😀 Still proud of myself though for lasting all these years and saving energy, money, and the planet a little bit.
The earth is getting warmer each year. It’s only going to get worse. Stay hydrated and cool, everyone.
WOWWWW! Karen, you managed not to turn on your A/C for 4 years! THAT’S INSANE!!
For me, I have to turn it on once it gets above 27 degrees or so (before humidity) because it affects my skin condition.
Yeah, we were able to manage lol. Save the environment, save our money, and I notice I didn’t get sick in the summertime because our temperatures don’t fluctuate as when you have AC in the house. It’s better all around for everyone. 🙂
