Comfort Food at The Pint Public House in Toronto

The Pint House Beefshires

The Pint House located at 277 Front Street West in Toronto

November 25, 2017:  After attending The Gentlemen’s Expo at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, we set out for dinner.  I was starving — the expo didn’t have any complimentary samples of food like I thought it would — so when we were deciding where to eat in the Front Street vicinity, I was more than happy to see The Pint Public House metres away from us.  A quick look at their menu outside their door and we were in.  I wanted some comfort food! 😀  Continue reading

The Gentlemen’s Expo 2017 Event Recap

The Gentlemen's Expo 2017

Held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building in Toronto

November 25, 2017:  This was my first time attending The Gentleman’s Expo!  To be clear, this is an expo event that anyone can attend; it’s not just exclusive to men as the name suggests.  However, I did have to look at their FAQ on their website to be sure of that.  XD

I had a vague idea of what to expect and the website told me there would be Continue reading

Weekly Photo Challenge: Serene

 Summer sunrise over a lake

McRae Point Provincial Park, Ontario. July 2012

The definition of “serenity”!  When you escape the city and go north into the depths of Mother Nature.  On this clear summer morning, Steph and I got up at the crack of dawn to witness and capture this view.  The water was so clear, the air was so crisp, and there was not a sound in the area.

Ken Oh food

Ken Oh located at 183 Dundas St W in Toronto

November 21, 2017:  There are so many restaurants on Dundas Street that I have yet to try.  Tonight, Grace and I tried out Ken Oh.  It’s a restaurant that serves Japanese “spaghetti” or udon and rice bowls.

There were a decent number of customers here when we arrived at 5:30 p.m.  The restaurant itself is rather small but comfortable enough to fit a lot of tables Continue reading
