For a quick and convenient lunch as we were in the area, we stopped into the Richmond Hill branch of Hero Certified Burgers located by Highway 7 and Bayview.
I had been previously to this location about two years ago when we had moved into this area and had lunch here one day. I remember the burgers being quite good and Hero Burgers having a fairly consistent track in delivering quality burgers.
There was no one else here at 11:20 a.m. on a Saturday morning and one staff member behind the counter.
We shared the Wild Salmon Fillet Burger and a 4 oz Hero Burger both with ketchup, mustard, lettuce, relish, tomato, sliced pickles, and jalapeños. The burgers at Hero Burger are customizable so you can choose the type of bun, cheese, condiments, and sauces that you want. They have a lot of selections.
It took about five minutes, as per their informed waiting time as the burgers were freshly cooked.
We enjoyed their free wifi as we waited.

I think it’s so cute and practical how they are wrapped — easy to hold the burger without getting your hands dirty
I remember having a most delicious salmon burger at their Commerce Gate location last time, so I had similar expectations for this one today. I think I chose the wrong condiments and sauces to go with this Salmon Burger as the ketchup or tomatoes really didn’t do the salmon fillet any justice.
The salmon fillet itself was quite tender though but on the bland side. The Low-Fat Mayonnaise or Pineapple Mango would have been better complements.
On the other hand, the condiments picked for the 4 oz Hero Burger were perfect. The juicy sliced pickles, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, ketchup, relish, mustard went so well with the beef patty. This batch of jalapeños happened to be very spicy so it definitely gave the burger a kick of flavour.
I still preferred the hamburger over the salmon burger this time.
By the mid-point of our visit, there was another customer ordering food too.
One thing I didn’t like about their location was that at least two of the tables were sticky. We had to choose another table to sit at since the first two had sticky surfaces. How well and how often do they clean their tables?!
